A lancer from the archer’s frieze, from Darius’s palace at Susa. This frieze panel is made from glazed siliceous bricks and dates to the Achaemenid Empire circa 510 BC.

Achéménide Reigne - Lancier, détail de la frise des archers du palais de Darius à Suse.

This was shot in 5 minutes at the Louvre, Abu Dahbi in afternoon opening hours (during the V&A ReACH visit) with a Sony A6000, 44 pictures, processed on high settings with Agisoft Photoscan Pro. The model is not perfect, but gives a good representation and has been downsampled from 2.5 million faces to 500,000.
